SALVATION ARMY USA SITE

SALVATION ARMY
Ardara Church has been a long time sponsor of the North Huntingdon chapter of the Salvation Army, whose mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in his name without discrimination

This link is in memory of Pastor Raymond as a way of letting you know what he went through as he worked with Pastor St Hilaire

HAITI--PASTOR ST. HILAIRE.
Did you know that Ardara Church directly co-ordinates an international   mission  program? We are helping to sponsor a mission for children in Haiti, the most impoverished country in our hemisphere. Haiti Pastor St Hilaire operates a program to provide child sponsorship & a  weekly feeding program for approximately 100 children in their village (a slum sub-division in Port Au Prince)
Congregation members from our own church including Mandy (Kohler) Michael have visited with Pastor St. Hilaire on mission trips to Haiti, and come back with great enthusiasm that the message of Christ's love is being demonstrated there.
What is unique about this program is that 100% of donated monies go to the program, since administration of the mission project is completely volunteer both inside and outside the church as well as in Haiti.
Our congregation currently directly supports more than a dozen children through this mission outreach, including direct sponsorship by congregation members as well as by our deacons, our choir and our mission fund.
Here's how it works: Congregation members and friends of Ardara Church have the chance to sponsor a child for 20.00 per month which provides the child with food, schooling and school uniforms (without which they cannot attend school)
If you are not able to make a monthly commitment, consider helping to support their weekly feeding program with a one-time donation
Currently this mission program is co-ordinated at Ardara Church by Cindy Kohler who collects the monies on Mission Sunday, the first Sunday of each month

LINK TO MISSIONS OF THE WORLD SITE

MISSIONS TO THE WORLD (ROBYN SLACK'S MISSION TRIP)
Missions To The World is a Presbyterian Church Of America mission program that has provided the opportunity for Level Green Church"s Robyn Slack to travel to Peru as a medical missionary, helping to provide primary medical care as well as Christian fellowship to some remote villages in Peru

LINK TO WORLD VISION SITE

WORLD VISION
The annual thirty-hour famine sponsored by World Vison teaches our youth what it is like to be truly hungry while at the same time raising hundreds of dollars for famine relief worldwide

GUATEMALA INNER CITY OUTREACH
This is a Grove City College student-led outreach during Holy Week in both the US and abroad. While she was there, Mandy Kohler's Grove City group visited an orphanage where they helped local churches by providing labor, supplies, and evangelism, painted a church mint green and bonded with the children at Easter time teaching Bible stories and the story of the Resurrection

ST PAUL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH SOMERSET HAITIAN MEDICAL MISSION TRIPS
This mission program provides both medical and spiritual outreach including bible school, contruction of church pews and school desks. The crew hands out tracts in Creole to patients as they leave the clinic, where they are most often the only doctors and nurses seen from trip to trip. Roughly 1100 patients are treated by a crew of 10-20 people in 8 days time including travel from the poorest inner-city slums to the capital of Port Au Prince to a trek on donkey or on foot up to the mountain village of Ma Hotte. Haiti has an aids rate of 15% and is the poorest nation in the western hemisphere. The people here are eager to hear the good news

LINK TO HARVEY THURSTON MINISTRIES

HARVEY THURSTON MINISTRIES
Ardara Church has been a long time supporter of Harvey and Karyn Thurston, first in helping to support their ministry locally and most recently in helping to support them in a mission project to bring the Word of God to the unchurched in Maine, which has resulted in them starting a church there called Grace Tabernacle. The church that we helped to plant there is bearing fruit! Their congregation there is showing strong growth and are now self-supporting
