“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth

peace, good will toward men!”

-Luke 2:14

We continue our weekly rehearsals for the upcoming Christmas cantata, 2,000 Decembers Ago, which will be performed at both morning Worship Services on December 17th

As we begin our celebration of Advent, our anthems will include Down from His Glory, Beautiful Star of Bethlehem, A Thousand Joys, Meet Him at the Manger, and See How Bright He Shines.

We rehearse every Thursday at 7:00 p.m. for an hour and a half of fellowship, song, and prayer. If you can read or sight-read music, and can carry a tune, please consider joining the choir. Our numbers have grown as God has blessed our music ministry.

May you and yours have a blessed Advent and Christmas.

                        Yours in Christ,

                        Debi Fleming

LARIMER FOOD BANK

Reach out by bringing your donations of 2¢ per meal, as well as food donations, placing them in the offering or appropriate receptacles. Please bring paper products or canned goods (no glass containers) to Ardara Church the first Sunday of each month – designated as Mission Sunday.  You can, however, bring these items anytime during the month and place them in the Food Bank shopping cart in the Narthex.  Goods are distributed locally through the Larimer Food Bank.

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION

Please save Box Top coupons from participating General Mills products for Clelian Heights School in Greensburg.  A small box has been placed in the Narthex in which you can deposit these coupons. A complete list of products is posted on each of the two bulletin boards.

                    TWO CENTS PER MEAL

We continue to collect 2¢ per meal, per person for the Larimer Food Bank.  Place contributions in the fish bowl at the front of the church or you can include your donation in your offering envelope, marking it “Two Cents Fund.” Either way, you are reaching out and helping someone much less fortunate than you are.

HAITIAN CHILDREN

If you are sponsoring a child, remember to give your support money each month to Cindy Kohler who will record the donation and pass it on to Ron Rabo.  (Checks should be made payable to Ardara UP Church.)

Once all donations are in, Ron writes one check from the church and Cindy sends it to Haiti, along with all the necessary paperwork.

Praise God! All the angels that Patti Nicolette carefully prepared and placed on the Narthex Angel Tree were claimed the very first day they were available!  This mission outreach to children of prisoners is always a favorite.

After you purchase your gift, please bring it – unwrapped – to the church no later than Thursday, December 7th. Gifts will be wrapped and delivered on Sunday, December 10th. We need volunteers to:

  • wrap Christmas gifts (thanks to for donating a big roll of wrapping paper)
  • drive as we deliver the gifts
  • deliver gifts to children and, if the opportunity presents itself, share the Gospel and pray with the children and caregivers

It would help if you can let Patti know that you will be there to help.

RESERVE A DATE

If you would like to reserve the Church Social Room or Pavilion for an event (shower, picnic, party, etc.), see Virginia Nicolette or give her a call.  A large calendar is located on the bulletin board across from the choir robe closet.  Before calling Virginia, check the calendar to see if the date you want is available.
